Sublimation is a physical change of state，passing through heat and pressure are applied to a solid, turning it into a gas through an endothermic reaction. 

We talked a lot at LOPO; Sublimation as a physical change can be used in our daily life; we called it Dye-Sub Printing. 

Dye-Sub Printing is a digital printing technology using full-color artwork that works with polyester and polymer-coated substrates. 

Such as Mugs, Phone Cases, Textile, and other items with sublimation-friendly surfaces.

The Process of Dye-Sub printing is a chemical process dyes into polymer surfaces. 

It sounds pretty tricky but does not to be worry; there have lots of ways substrate manufacturers and LOPO have come up with to embed polymers onto the surface of their products.

 Such as glass, metal, neoprene, aluminum, Linen are just a few examples. 

Lots of new material has been discovered; the sublimation market grows pretty fast during these years.

How to do Sublimation Printing

Well, as we said before, sublimation printing uses heat to bring ink and fabric together as one essentially. 

So you will need a special paper with your design on it; we named it sublimation paper. Then ink and fabric are required to be prepared; the inks will be used to turn into gas when brought under heat through the (heat press machine). 

The process is like a tattoo, but instead of your skin to your products.
